148th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi celebrated at St. Soldier Mohali.
A week long celebration of Gandhi’s 148th Birth Anniversary was held at St. Soldier School Mohali.Paying tribute to the Father of our nation students celebrated Gandhi Jayanti in a special way. Toddlers coloured the pictures of Gandhi ji and heard about the sacrifice made by him from their teachers. The Music Teacher made them learn “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram” and “Pir Paraee” .’Best Dressed Gandhi’ competition was held in which the toddlers participated enthusiastically. Props like specs, stick, charkha etc. made the competition difficult to be judged. Senior School students under the guidance of their Art Teacher Ms.Amandeep Kaur & Ms. Manpreet Kaur put in atleast 6 hour hard work in making a 50 feet long and 30 feet broad portrait with the help of sand art. This activity in the school proved that the savior of our country is not only seen on the currency notes but also in the hearts of the young ones. Director Karandeep Singh Brar appreciated the efforts of the students in celebrating the birthday of the great freedom fighter in a different manner.
