St. Soldier School reverberated with the patriotic fervor and gusto as the
Management , Staff and zealous students celebrated India’s 68th Republic
Day.
The occasion commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by
Principal Ms. Vinender Tiwana . Every heart was pounding with saffron,
white and green hues.
The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. To mark the importance of this day, a special assembly was conducted by the toddlers who conveyed the message of beautifying Mother India with the usage of golden words. The students of both junior and senior classes delivered motivational speeches brimming with fervent spirit of
nationalism. Class VIII students enlightened everyone by explicitly explaining the Fundamental Rights . A big round of applause was given to the budding poets of Classes VI and VIII for their poetry recitation, showcasing the vibrant, colourful and diverse culture of the mother land. A parody of patriotic songs by Class V students highlighting the sacrifices of martyrs overwhelmed everyone with emotions .
‘Hum Sab Bhartiya Hain’ – melodious rendition conveyed the spirit of unity in diversity. ‘Jai Ho’ , a fabulous dance performance by the young ones portrayed the confluence of cultures of different states. Inter House Ship Wreck competition , face painting, flag making and slogan writing
competition were also held. A direct telecast of Republic day parade and celebrations from the Rajpath in Delhi was showcased to the students who saw Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan gracing the event and witnessing the cultural and social heritage as well as its defence capability that was put on display during the parade at Rajpath.
The function came to an end with the patriotic words by the
Principal. She reiterated the need to incessantly strive for
maintaining the integrity and peace for the prosperity of the Indian
Republic. The students were made aware about the vital duties of a
good Indian citizen by including scientific temper, safeguarding
public property, conserving the greenery and wildlife of the nation
etc. Sweets were distributed among the children.
