The students of Class V of St. Soldier School under the guidance of Ms. Ravinder Kaur paid tribute to Shaheed Udham Singh on his Martyrdom day by conducting a special morning assembly. Various aspects of his life were highlighted. The students learnt a valuable lesson from his life history- Just practice good, be good for others.

Q Biz at St Soldier Mohali
The first Phase of Q biz ( ? Business Quiz and Beyond) was conducted at St Soldier International Convent School Mohali .
240 students from Classes XI & XII who are the champions of applied and holistic learning participated enthusiastically.
This Business Quiz has been created with a vision to satiate the spirit of competition while enhancing knowledge . The premise of Qbiz rests upon the cognizance skill of students .
This has been a cohesive work in progress initiated and improved by four incredible organizations – The University of Fraser Valley , a leading Public University from British Columbia , Canada Alliance Francaise , an International organization from France , A retailer of Apple Products and Paul Merchants .
The first prize was bagged by Kavita Puri the second by Aditya Sharma and the third prize was acquired by Arshjot Kaur . They will be participating in the Inter School Round.

Harman Saini of Class VIII has bagged the Third Position in The Punjab State Ranking Championship organized at Jalandher.
Harman Saini had been participating in all the Inter House , School & Open Championships conducted at the School , District and State Level .
Lend a Hand to Save Trees
Class I-D students of St. Soldier Int. Convent School, Mohali under the guidance of Ms. Namta held a special assembly to create an awareness about the importance of trees in our lives. They apprised about the things that the trees provide us like medicines, fruits, oxygen and so on. The special message they conveyed was to plant more trees and save our mother nature. They concluded with a meaningful and a melodious song in praise of trees.
Tribute paid to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur
Class IV-B students of St. Soldier School under the guidance of Ms. Manjit Rai conducted a special assembly to pay a tribute to Baba Banda Singh Bahadur. All the students keenly participated by presenting a brief history about his contributions towards his country. They highlighted his keen effort in making the farmers self reliant and making the people of India aware of about the word democracy. The children also presented a video on the celebratrions held at Chappar Chiri on June 26 and at New Delhi on 30th July .

Speak Well ENGLISH Academy Classes held at St. Soldier Mohali
Principal Ms. V. Tiwana and Headmistress Ms. Amrit Kalsi conducted a one month long Spoken English and Personality Development Classes during the Summer Vacation for parents and students of St. Soldier School Mohali.
The course provided theme- based activities designed to develop speaking and listening skills enhance vocabulary and improve pronunciation. Much stress was laid on the three areas of pronunciation – phonetics , stress and intonation. The instructions were delivered in a lively and interactive manner . The main objective of this course is to develop an ease of speaking grammatically correct English with the right play of words and voice modulation. Other soft skills like body language, verbal etiquette , table manners, facing an interview etc. are also part of this personality development programme.
To show their gratitude the participants presented a show on the final day in which they covered maximum content of the syllabus.
The Academy will continue to function after the vacation in the evening hours for the convenience of working parents and students.
Students spread a special message
Class IX-C students of St. Soldier School, Mohali under the guidance of Ms Maninder Kaur presented an activity on the topic “Make Parents your Friends”.
The students spread a very positive message that, parents and children should be friends with each other. Parental support and friendship between the parent and the child helps the child to overcome fear and this will help him/her to become a positive and a successful person in future.
The students also recited a poem on “Make Parents your Friends” written by Abrahm Lincoln which was like an inspiration for the students of the school. The activity ended with a devotional song “Yeh toh sach hai ki bhagwaan hai …..”
Red Day celebrated at St. Soldiers Mohali
To create awareness about colours – Red Day was celebrated at St. Soldiers Mohali. Toddlers dressed inred were welcomed at the gate by their teachers also attired in red. Class I I-B under the guidance of Ms. Neetu Suri put up the assembly and apprised the students that red is the symbol of danger . It is also the colour of love, joy and happiness. Dressed up as strawberries, apples, water melons, carrots, post boxes and roses, they further cleared the concept of the colour Red. All the students took a pledge to donate blood on their 18th birthday and shouted slogans like ‘Make a donation’ gift a life, gift some hope, gift a smile, gift a drop. Various activities related to the colour were conducted by the Activity Incharge Ms. Deepa Sood.The little ones sang songs like ‘Red Red Apple’, ‘My Red Balloon’ and ‘Aha Tamatar Bada Majedar’. In their song they sang in praise of the colour which said that all their favourite things including their dress was red. They relished red Rooh Afza and red food items during break time and went home happily with red tattoos on their faces made by their respective teachers.
