St Soldier International Convent School organized the first phase of Rhymes ‘n’ Recitation Day on 16-02-2017 . The students of Classes I & II recited English and Hindi poems with full gusto . The popular classics like the Old Man , Boogie Woogie, This is the world were sung by the tiny tots of the school .
Mrs Inderjeet Kaur , Head of Kindergarten YP S , and Mrs Jaswinder Kang , Ex Principal St Peters took up the onerous task of Judgement.
The judgement was based on Articulation, Pronunciation , Voice Modulation , Props , Entry , Exit and Body Language of the students . The Trophy for the Best Recitation was bagged by the students of Class II C , who recited a famous poem If You Think – based on the theme of Positive attitude and Koshish karne Walon ki haar Nahin Hoti – a legendary poem by Hari Vansh Rai Bachaan . the audience were enthralled by their song – God’s Love .
The Runner’s Trophy was clinched by the students of Class I A – they recited the Poem Frogs at School , and Agar Pedh bhi chalte hote . The audience swayed with the rhyme , ‘If I were a butterfly ‘.
Principal, Mrs Tiwana appreciated the effort made the students and teachers in making this day a success . Director , Sr Karan Singh Brar gave away the Trophies to the winners .
