An orientation programme for parents of Playgroup – Class II and Classes V-VI were conducted at St. Soldier School Mohali. Headmistress Ms. Amrit Kalsi welcomed the parents and apprised them about the new ventures of the school like the Robotics Lab, The Shooting Range,  and introduction of Kabbadi and Lawn Tennis apart from the Dining Room , Computer Lab and a separate Library for the toddlers. The well qualified, experienced, dynamic, versatile and enthusiastic teachers were introduced. To prove that the school cares for the emotions of the parents she recited a letter (in the form of a poem) written by a concerned mom to her child’s first teacher. Other important guidelines about personal hygiene, attendance etc.was given by Ms. Prabhjot Anand. Ms. Jaspreet Baidwan gave tips on happy parenting and healthy tiffin. Principal V.Tiwana spoke about the changes and challenges faced by students of Classes V And VI who enter their puberty stage.

A ‘MOBILE APP’ was launched and parents were taught the steps to log-in and find out about their ward’s  attendance, performance in tests, daily homework and also track the school bus if required.

At the end Vice Principal Ms. Anjli Sharma thanked the parents for their constant support and cooperation. 

Graduation Ceremony Held at St. Soldier, Mohali

Change is the way of life and a change for the better is an event to be celebrated. It was a proud moment for the parents, when the little soldiers of Class V of St. Soldier’s Mohali, proudly donned their Graduation Gowns and hats.

The programme commenced with a rendition of the Welcome Song. The Chief Guest and  the Guest of Honour were Ms.Varsha Mistry, Forensic Practitioner in the Metropolitan Police Service, the biggest police force in England and Mr. Satya Minhas, Chairperson, Hindu Council UK  respectively.

The parents and the teachers cheered the students , as they walked on stage.The students who excelled in academics for five consecutive years were also given  the Scholar Badges and Ties.

While congratulating the graduates and their parents, Chairman S.Karnail Singh Brar emphasized on having a stress-free atmosphere and teaching of life skills in school and at home as well. Principal Vinender Tiwana, welcomed the august gathering and bid adieu to the children wishing them all the best as they took their first step towards greater responsibilities in life. About 128 students of Class V were welcomed into the more challenging phase of their lives and stepped into the Senior School.  Headmistress  Amrit Kalsi  congratulated the graduates and wished them good luck for future.

To spread awareness among toddlers about colours – Black and White Day
was celebrated at St. Soldier School Mohali by toddlers of Playgroup
to Class II.. All of them dressed up in black and white attire were
involved in different activities like Cotton Pasting, Colouring and
Painting . They were asked to bring black and white food items in
their tiffins. Very creatively parents sent tiffins packed with white
rice and black dal, white kheer and black grapes and black forest
cake, black oreo biscuits sandwiched with white cream etc.
Black grapes, white chocolate, Butter milk, curd, kheer and milk were
shown and also served to the children by the Activity Teacher Ms.
Deepa Sood . Rhymes and songs related to both the colours were also
sung. Black and White tattoos were made on their faces by their
respective teachers.

St. Soldier Seeks The Blessings Of God

To seek the blessings of the
Almighty for success in the forthcoming Board Exams, Sukhmani Sahib
Paath and Langar was organized by the school management at St.
Soldier, Mohali. Students of Class XII collected their admit cards and
paid obeisance to the Guru Granth Sahib. A special ardas was done for
the success of the students in the exams.

Students, staff as well as parents of the students did the ‘sewa’ at
the langar. Hundreds of people had their share of ‘parshada’. As the
school is named after the great martyr, ‘ Guru Gobind Singh Ji’,
Gurupurab is celebrated every year as an annual event of the school.
The paath marks the end of the session.

The students of Class XI of St. Soldier, Mohali bid farewell to their
seniors at the function held in the school auditorium. The day was a fiesta
devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce
joyous moments. The students presented a cultural bonanza of songs, dances
and games. The pick or highlight of the day was the Bhangra performance,
which enthralled the gathering with their rhythmic steps . The stage was
set ablaze with the ramp walk by Class XII students. Gursher Singh
XII-B and Harleen Kaur XII-A were declared Mr.Perfect and Ms. Perfect
respectively and
Prabhleen Bhattal XII-E was declared Ms Charming and Arshdeep Singh XII-D
was declared Mr. Debonair. The school Head Girl Chahat Kalsi presented a
vote of thanks. In the end , S. Karnail Singh Brar Chairman of the school
wished all the best to the outgoing students for success and
accomplishments in all their future endeavors.

They sung a song on flowers with full enthusiasm and at the end gave a beautiful message to  ” Keep smiling like flowers”.

Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. With the power, comes great
responsibility. In keeping with the tradition of the school,
once again before the commencement of the new academic session
2016-2017, the Investiture Ceremony of St. Soldier Int. Convent School
was held on 6th Feb2016 in the School Auditorium.

The newly appointed Head Boy – Athul Kumar, Head Girl- Parul, Dy. Head
Boy- Ashish , Dy. Head Girl -Disha Activities Incharge – Mansi Sharma
and Captains of all four houses alongwith the other cabinet members
were sworn in by the Principal so as to shoulder their newly assigned
responsibilities to the utmost of their ability, integrity and
dedication. She appreciated the services rendered by the previous
office bearers who did full justice to their posts and urged the new
appointees to do their duties with loyalty and told them to honour the
trust bestowed on them with full commitment. Later on the new
appointees had a meeting with the Principal over a cup of tea and
refreshments.
