Spring Day
Spring Day Celebrated at St. Soldier Mohali
To create awareness among the toddlers about Spring Season special assembly activities on this theme were held at St. Soldier School Mohali by Pre-Nurseries, Nurseries and Class I. Since it was their last assembly their parents were invited. With a common theme Pre-nurseries presented special songs on Spring with well co-ordinated actions and Power Point presentation.
Nurseries depicted Nature during Spring through their songs and a well choreographed dance.
Class I students also with creatively made props recited a poem followed by a dance ‘Aawara Bhanwre’ and melodiously sung songs ‘Spring is in the air’.
The show which started with a Welcome Song and a prayer ended with a birthday song as per the tradition for those born in Spring (February and March) and the School Anthem.
Principal Ms. Anjli Sharma applauded the efforts of the students and teachers and thanked the parents for encouraging such an activity by their presence in large number. Chairman S. Karnail Singh Brar appreciated the initiative taken by his team to celebrate such occasion along with parents.
Investiture Ceremony
Investiture Ceremony held at St.Soldier, Mohali
Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. With the power, comes great responsibility. In keeping with the tradition of the school,once again before the commencement of the new academic session 2020-2021, the Investiture Ceremony of St. Soldier School, Mohali was held on 14th Feb 2020 in the School Auditorium. The Chief Guest was Mr. Lakshay Sharma ,IPS (Batch 2016).
The newly appointed Head Boy- Akshit Moudgil, Head Girl- Manjot Kaur, Dy. Head Boy-Anurag Raina, Dy. Head Girl- Tanishq Verma, Sports Incharge- Satnam Singh, Activity Incharge- Jashanpreet Kaur. Captains of all four houses alongwith the other cabinet members were sworn in by the Principal so as to shoulder their newly assigned responsibilities to the utmost of their ability, integrity and dedication. She appreciated the services rendered by the previous office bearers who did full justice to their posts and urged the new appointees to do their duties with loyalty and told them to honour the trust bestowed on them with full commitment. Later on the new appointees had an interactive session with the Principal over a cup of tea and refreshments.Chairman S. Karnail Singh Brar congratulated and expected better discipline and cleanliness of the school from the newly appointed council and cabinet members.

Farewell to Class XII of
St.Soldiers’ Mohali
The students of Class XI of St. Soldier, Mohali held a
function to bid farewell to their seniors in the school auditorium.
The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and
teachers to reminisce joyous moments. The students presented a cultural bonanza
of songs, dances and games. The highlight of the day was the Bhangra
performance, which enthralled the gathering with their rhythmic steps . The
stage was set ablaze with the ramp walk by Class XII students. Mr.Sagalpreet
Singh ( Med.) and Ms.Simran (Commerce) were declared Mr.Perfect and Ms.Perfect
respectively and Ms.Muskan Saini (Non Med.) was declared Ms Charming and Mr.
Subeg Singh (Med) was declared Mr. Debonair. The school Head Girl
Ms.Gurleen Kaur (Med.) presented a vote of thanks. In the end , Ms.Anjli Sharma
Principal of the school wished all the best to the outgoing students for
success and accomplishments in all their future endeavors. Chairman S.Karnail
Singh Brar extended his blessings and said good luck to the young children for
a bright future and to become the brand ambassadors of the school.
Spring Fest
Spring Fest held at St. Soldier School Mohali
Spring is a time when children play, flowers bloom and everyone is gay. To celebrate the splendor of spring season ‘Spring Fest’ was held at St. Soldier School Mohali. The event began with the special prayer to God by the tiny tots of Smart Kidzee School. This was followed by the Fancy Dress Competition who in their cute attires regaled the audience with their talent . Hand and eye co-ordination and motor skills were adjudged through the Clay Modelling Competition. Besides this, Colouring, Singing, Recitation and Dance competitions were held. Principal Ms Anjli Sharma greeted everyone and applauded the efforts of toddlers, their teachers and parents .
Green Day
Green Day celebrated at St. Soldier Mohali
To create awareness about colours Green Day was celebrated at St. Soldier School Mohali . The entire school had a lively look with students and teachers all in green attire.
KG C and D presented a special assembly activity on Green Day under the guidance of their teachers Ms. Madhu Bala and Ms. Simerdeep Kaur.They stressed upon eating green vegetables and fruits. Students with creatively made head gears and props emphasized that ‘Green’ is the colour of life, nature and harmony and by growing more plants and not cutting trees environment could be protected.
The activity ended with a melodious song- Green Green I know how to spell Green ……..A clown entertained the toddlers in the assembly by jumping here and there in his green attire and green gloves. A quiz on the colour was conducted by the Principal of the school and even the Play Group and Pre Nursery kids participated in it enthusiastically.
In the Activity Room Ms Deepa Sood made the students sing songs on the colour ‘Green’ and showcased green vegetables , fruits and other items to clear the concept . A green drink / soup was served and advantages were told with the help of a story. Students enjoyed eating green food items sent by their moms like green grapes, guavas, green peas, beans, saag and green barfi.
Republic Day
St. Soldier School reverberated with the patriotic fervor and gusto as the
Management , Staff and zealous students celebrated India’s 71st Republic
Day.The occasion commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by
Principal Anjli Sharma along with the advisor Ms.Vinender Tiwana and Headmistress Amrit Kalsi who took the salute from the NCC contingent of the school. Every heart was pounding with saffron, white and green hues.
The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. To mark the importance of this day, special assemblies under the guidance of Ms. Sandhya Godara and Ms. Harpreet Bhullar were conducted by the students of Class III-C and Class VIII-A respectively who conveyed the significance of fundamental rights and duties in a vivid manner. This was followed by an enlightening street play showcasing the social evil of drug abuse. The scintillating folk dance ‘Lavani’ of Maharashtra and the soulful rendition of patriotic songs by the students of the Music Club filled everyone with the spirit of nationalism.
Patriotic messages were delivered from Chairman S.Karnail S. Brar and the Principal . The students were made to take a pledge so as to initiate the quest of cleanliness with themselves, school , locality, society and their country.
Sweets were distributed among the students.
Pariksha Pe Charcha Live
The Live Telecast of Pariksha Pe Charcha was shown to the students of the school wherein Prime Minister Narendra Modi held his second “Pariksha Pe Charcha” on Tuesday in which he interacted with 2,000 students from high school to college, along with their parents and teachers. The event was held at Talkatora Stadium.
Students, teachers and parents interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss exams related issue. He was also talking about the exam stress the students goes through before the board exams.
Talking about depression PM Modi said, “Students living in hostel can also find some senior or person with whom they can share their feelings.”
Talking about depression and homesickness developing among the students moving to another city or hostel for higher studies he said, “Try to connect your child with someone who can help their child in time of crisis or need. A get-together once in a weekend will also help.
Lohri celebration
Lohri celebrated at St.Soldier’S Mohali
Lohri was celebrated with great enthusiasm at St.Soldier, Mohali. Chairman Mr. Karnail Singh Brar lit the bonfire and students of classes III-B and IX -C under the guidance of Ms.Maninder Kaur and Ms. Gitanjli respectively presented the skit showcasing the Robinhood of Punjab Dulha Bhatiwala and the marriage of Sundri and Mundri followed by bhangra and giddha which mesmerised one and all. Lohri goodies ( Revri, Moongfali and Popcorns) were distributed to all the students and Staff members of the school amidst students singing “Sunder Munderiye Ho”.
The great festival was celebrated in a special way by the Samaritans of the school.A group of students from the NSS and Interact Club alongwith their Incharges Ms.Manjeet Rai and Mr. Sachin Chandel distributed Lohri goodies to the slum area children of Chuhar Majra village ,which has been adopted by the school.
Plogging Activity
Plogging Activity by students of St. Soldier Mohali
Students of St. Soldier Mohali carried out an environmentally conscious activity in the market area of Phase-VII, Mohali and its vicinity. Picking up strewn garbage while jogging made the plogggers of Classes VII and VIII not only elated but also filled them with pride for doing some good to planet Earth. More than 40 students took off through the market area in gloves and holding their garbage bags competing and vying to be the first to grab each piece of garbage which included plastic bottles, tattered pieces of clothes, bits of newspapers etc. This activity was undertaken under the aegis of Ms. Manseerat Kaur, Ms. Sumedha and Ms. Harpreet Kaur during their Life Skill classes. In a duration of 30 minutes run, the volunteers filled up four to five trash bags. Before sending them off the ploggers were made aware of right posture especially not to bend their backs and be sure that they should alternating the garbage bag from the right hand to the left hand and vice versa without straining their neck. The school has made this endeavour to be a weekly feature.
